Commissioning Engineer - Electrical or Process background Thames Region Permanent job

First Recruitment are working with a major engineering contractor delivering key water infrastructure projects across the Thames region. They're looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team and play a key role in bringing new installations and upgrades into operation.

What you'll be doing •Planning and carrying out commissioning activities on water and wastewater projects •Testing and verifying electrical, mechanical and process systems • Supporting site teams through commissioning, start-up and handover • Troubleshooting faults and resolving technical issues • Working closely with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure successful delivery • Completing commissioning documentation and reports

What they're looking for • Previous commissioning experience or a strong electrical engineering background • Relevant engineering qualifications (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent) • Experience within the water sector, pharmaceuticals, or petrochemicals • Good understanding of health & safety and commissioning procedures • Ability to work across multiple sites within the Thames region • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

The role doesn't have a base location as it covers UK wide projects, although most will be Thames region. This person will need to be working in these locations weeks at a time where hotels and expenses are covered.
